Charity for the DC Comic Marathon

Honestly out of all the time and work that goes into putting together these marathons one of the hardest things to do is pick the charity we donate the money to. This process takes me quite awhile usually to figure out and pick one that I think we can all get behind and support. So after hours of researching I have come up with the charity

Mental Illness effects just about everyone in one way or another if not through themselves then through a friend, partner, or parent. Its something that hits very close to home for me and my own family and even myself. Mental Illness covers a huge amount of diseases and issues from Bipolar, Schizophrenia, Depression, Autism, Suicide and many more. The Brain and Behavior Research Fund is dedicated to giving grants to scientists around the world to help treat, diagnose, and cure mental illness in all forms. For that I have chosen them as the charity for the 72 DC Comic Video Game Marathon. Lets do our best to help cure mental illness.

Hey everyone its been a long time since my group Bonus Stage Marathons has put on a marathon and we want to put on the best one we ever have this time around. Are goal is to play through as many DC Comic related video games in the 72 hour period along with some fun stuff along the way. This is our 12th marathon and we have raised over $10,000 during those marathons combined but I am hoping to take it to another level this time around. The charity for the marathon will be announced very soon just working out some details for the paypal and such and when its set I will update this.

As for the games and other fun stuff I will list everything I know we are doing below this but for the fun stuff we are doing a Injustice Tournament amongst the members here at Bonus Stage as well as doing the main story of it.

We will be doing a chat interactive run of Scribblenauts Unmasked. Also once we reach a certain donation goal we will be doing Superman 64 being played by me in full.

Silent Hill Marathon is Complete!

It was another fun marathon we didn't reach our goal but still raised a lot of money. Hope everyone enjoyed watching and everyone who came in person had a good time. Next marathons date has not been set but the current plan is to do DC Comic games including Batman Arkham City / Asylum Super Man 64 and Aquaman: Battle for Atlantis THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WATCHING AND EVEN MORE SO TO THOSE WHO HELPED DONATE!!!!!!

Charity for the Silent Hill Marathon!!!

Charity has been decided it will be the American Kidney Fund it was a tough decision because I have a lot of causes I want to help out with marathons plus I want your opinions as well for future marathon causes however working as a EMT I see a ton of Diaylsis patients and it is a horrible thing to have to go through all the time so this is a cause I easily support check out the site at http://www.kidneyfund.org/

Hey everyone Bonus Stage Marathons is back to kick ass and raise money. This time we enter the hellish world of Silent Hill easily one of the most interesting game series of all time and one of my personal favorites. We will be playing ever Silent Hill game over the course of 72 hours and getting a large amount of the endings in all the games as well. This is gonna be a lot of fun with trivia and prize giveaways hopefully more so then we have ever done before. Be sure to tell everyone you know!!!! Metal Gear Marathon Mission Complete

Thank you everyone for making the Metal Gear Marathon another huge success for Bonus Stage Marathons. We couldn't have done it without your help and we hope you enjoyed what we had to offer. We were able to complete all but one of the games we set out to play and the one we didn't finish we got over half way through as well as we did a extra run of Solid 1 and one for Metal Gear MSX. Charity for the 72 Hour Metal Gear Marathon

73 Hours of a Horrible Night is complete :)

Hey everyone once again thank you to each and every person who tuned in to enjoy the Bonus Stage Marathons 9th amazing video game marathon of the horror series Castlevania! We completed every game we set out to play with the exception of one and we got pretty far in that last one considering it was pretty much a blind attempt. Thank you to everyone who donated and helped us reach our goal for the 9th time in a row. Even with Tech issues and Chip In going down most of the weekend we were still able to pull out the huge donation goal and pulled in $1500 for the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation!!!! YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING!!!!!!!!! We hope you enjoyed the marathon as much as we loved putting it together. Legend of Zelda Marathon is Complete

Thank you everyone for making this another successful marathon for us we reach our initial goal of 1250 with a total of over $1300 raised for the American Liver Foundation thank you so so so so much for watching and of course donating. Final Fantasy Marathon is Over!!

Hey everyone it was another fantastic weekend of Marathon action from us at Bonus Stage Marathons. For the 7th time in 7 tries we reached our goal and then some for this marathon. Thank you to everyone so so so so much for donating to help Autism. Of course without you guys we couldn't do what we did. While we didn't beat all eight games we played we beat 7 out of the 8 and heck as a bonus did do the final battle and ending for Final Fantasy 7 and most of Disc 1. This marathon was a big big big success and I am thrilled with how it went. We will work on some of the mic issues we had mainly the new mic being so powerful it picked up way to much sound which was a first for us. Our next marathon is gonna be our biggest one yet and will be THE LEGEND OF ZELDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! While other marathon groups have done Zelda to death non have done it like we plan to. We will be playing every Zelda game possible THIS INCLUDES THE CD-I GAMES!!!! We also plan to do a Ocarina of Time Speed Run Contest with up to four runs going at once!!! The date for the marathon will be set soon after I get a chance to figure out any scheduling problems. Anyway have a great day and hope to see you all again next marathon!! Peace!
